INNIO’s Jenbacher business is a global leader in gas engines, packaged generator sets and cogeneration units for power generation. Ranging in power from 200 kW to 10 MW, INNIO’s Jenbacher gas engines run on either natural gas or a variety of other gases, including biogas, landfill gas, sewage gas, synthetic gases and hydrogen. INNIO’s Jenbacher gas engines business unit has supplied innovative Jenbacher gas engines to Europe, America, Asia, South Africa and South America. Worldwide, roughly 20,000 Jenbacher gas engines are in use, producing nearly 28 GW of overall power output.

THE PROGRAM

Jenbacher gas engines are recognized the world over for their performance & reliability. For more than 80 years, Jenbacher has been recognized as a manufacturer in the development & production of gas engines for the efficient generation of heat & power. The company’s products are highly-developed & tested, and well-matched to each customer’s specific requirements. Essential components necessary for reliable engine operation—such as spark plugs, gas mixer & engine controls—are developed directly in Jenbach. This allows Jenbacher to control the development & construction, system integration, and testing of the complete units.

Jenbacher gas engines give you a power range of 200 kW to 10 MW with fuel flexibility to run either on natural gas or a number of other gases. Jenbacher engines furnish onsite power, heat & cooling for a variety of commercial, industrial & municipal applications—particularly renewable & waste-to-energy, industrial power generation & cogeneration/CHP (combined heat and power) & oilfield power generation. More than 20,000 Jenbacher gas engines are operating in 100-plus countries.

Overhauls

The overhaul program for Jenbacher gas engines is available globally. Jenbacher’s global service network includes more than 60 authorized Jenbacher sales & service providers worldwide. Jenbacher’s replacement program is executed by the company’s Overhaul Technology Center, which is certified according to the ISO 9001:2008 standard. Adherence to this standard ensures that all overhauled engines meet the same quality & performance standards of our new units. Advantages & benefits are summarized as follows:

The Short Block Option
Jenbacher’s basic engine version, ensures the best cost & the possibility of adding already refurbished parts directly onsite. Advantages include technical upgrades & fast delivery. The scope of supply includes: core engine, refurbished crankcase, refurbished crankshaft, new camshaft, new bearings, new pistons & cylinder heads.

The Long Block Option
Jenbacher provides an extended scope of supply that is precisely adjusted to your needs & contains a comprehensive engine test-run at the Jenbacher test bench facilities. The scope of supply includes: short block options, turbocharger, intercooler, exhaust manifold, ignition system & gas mixer.

The Genset Option
Jenbacher allows one to change out the entire module. What the client receives is a tested & completely functional unit, which will be set up at the client’s site in the shortest time possible. The scope of supply includes: long block options, alternator (by supplier), heat exchanger (by supplier), control cabinet (update) & coupling elements.

Commissioning

As Jenbacher’s Channel Partner, pre- and final- commissioning services are supported through our factory certified and trained service technicians to adhere to project schedules and timelines. Start-up of all assets are made through the best possible hands.
